After not playing the game for some time, I go back to play and all the yarn balls are invisible unless I'm looking at them from a certain stance. Anybody else encounter this?

In the launcher, select Direct X9 instead of 10 and 11. This fixed it for me.

Very late reply, but you can keep DX10 and 11 if you turn V-Sync OFF.

No idea why this works.
