OlausPetrus: How so? I have never played Half Life -games as I don't care much about the shooters, so I don't know how that worked out.
It didn't work out, that's the whole point. They made two episodes of Half-Life 2 and that was it, with no news on Half-Life 3 or a third episode for HL2 for years, now. Then again, Valve is pretty much only focused on Steam, these days.

groze: It didn't work out, that's the whole point. They made two episodes of Half-Life 2 and that was it, with no news on Half-Life 3 or a third episode for HL2 for years, now. Then again, Valve is pretty much only focused on Steam, these days.
I'm not too bothered about this, but they must have known 31 January was impossible if they hadn't even booked in recording sessions for the actors yet.
PS. I don't blame GOG :)

There's always been a danger in buying games before they're released. Another example: Duke Nukem forever pre-orders in 1998. Or, Sam and Max Season 2 (the second episode was pretty delayed).
