While I liked Episode 1, there are couple of things I wish to see in Episode 2. First is that I wish to see more locations. Episode 1 had only Paris and London, so I hope that Episode 2 has more locations than just Catalonia and previous locations. Earlier Broken Sword games had variety of different locations around the world, which is part of the charm.

I also wish to see more Nico. While George is the main protagonist, I always enjoy playing as her. While Nico chapters didn't quite fit to the narrative of Broken Sword 1 DC (which is the reason why I recommend playing the original before playing the DC) I enjoyed playing the new chapters and one of my biggest issues with the fourth game was complete lack of Nico for the first half of the game.
Yeah, I hope that there is much more globe-trotting in Episode 2. Reading the game's description on Facebook, it mentions that future locations are going to be Spain and a Middle Eastern country…I think it was Turkey if I remember correctly. I get that the first part was kinda setting up the story and I did thoroughly enjoy playing it. I actually think it's the best Broken Sword since the 2nd one, and it still has the potential to surpass that one. By the time the 2nd part wraps up, the entire game will probably be over 10 hours long, so we will be getting our money's worth in terms of length. Haha, and I do expect Andre Lobineau to make an appearance at some point. I think part two will open in Catalonia, Spain. I believe that George and Nico will eventually find themselves visiting the mansion depicted in the beginning of the game and find themselves learning more about Marques' family's connection with the Gnostics. I'm unsure if the Gnostics are truly as bad as the priest was claiming. I'm leaning towards no. That is really all I have in terms of predictions. I'm not really looking at the Russian guy as being inherently bad. Maybe he was trying to protect the painting from someone or something. I guess through the whole process of the game, George and Nico will find themselves in Turkey, which is where I predict the game will end. Also, I think Bijou knows more about the painting than she is letting on and could be a more significant character in the second part.

They must really like Turkey as Istanbul already had a big role in the previous game. ;)

Then again France, England and Spain are also familiar settings from the previous games, although none of them did appear in the fourth game.

While I like André, I doubt that he will appear. His story got sort of conclusion in The Sleeping Dragon. After that there has been only occasional references to him.
I think I read somewhere that, chronologically, this game takes place after Broken Sword 2 and before Broken Sword 3 and 4. So Andre may still make an appearance.
Strangely enough, I'd just like to see episode 2. The length of time it's taken since the first part was released is ridiculous. There are even copies of episode 2 already available to those who are not prepared to pay for games.

That's rather doubtful. The so-called "episode 2" available on some dubious websites is merely the HD update of episode 1 according to the official Revolution forums.
Yeah, Chris is right. I saw those rumors as well, but it turned out that it was just the HD update for Episode One. You never know, the game could be released a little earlier than the estimated date GOG provided us. Haha, or it could be later. The 31st of March is a Monday. That strikes me as a very odd day to release a game. Maybe that's just me though.

You seem to be right. From here: https://revolution.co.uk/support/bs5/

Does Broken Sword 5 – the Serpent’s Curse follow on from Broken Sword 1, 2, 3 or 4?

While the games can be played in any order and are designed so that you can enjoy them as stand-alone experiences, there are certainly going to be references to the continuity and previous games. The order in which the games are played largely doesn't matter. In fact, if we had to place The Serpent's Curse on a timeline, it would roughly happen after Broken Sword 2, so you're quite safe to play it before playing 3 and 4.
