Oh, and I don't know if you noticed, for people buying the game now, it is 25% cheaper. Only the suckers who bought it early and waited 5 months got to pay the premium price.

I've been about the block a bit, been playing games for 25 years, and have been part of many a disappointment (Duke Nukem Forever, the 'new' Wolfenstein, the next-gen Road Rash et al), but this experience has been the single most frustrating of them all.

Individually, the issues are reasonably minor - missed released dates, splitting into episodes, pricing anomalies, odd patching process... none of which are enough to ruin the experience as a whole.

Put them together though, and you've got what has to be one of the most botched crowdfunded launches ever (barring those that never made it to market).

I fully appreciate that gog.com aren't really responsible for most of it (save for the pricing), but as retailers bearing the brunt of this frustration GoG really need to feed this back to Revo and get some concessions out of it.

I'm in the same boat as the OP - I'm away from home for a while on a mobile broadband contract - and I am most certainly not going to spunk 6.8GB of my 15GB allowance on a game, half of which I already have installed. What a bizarre way to tick off the existing fans... but then at the risk of sounding cynical, it seems that Revo hasn't really given a toss about existing fans, each change has been done to appease new customers it seems.

A real shame. Same with The Wolf Among Us, I shan't be buying any episodic games now until the last in series is released, then I'll enjoy a bug-free experience with the season pass up for grabs in a 50pc off deal no doubt. :(
downloaded with the GOG downloader and by theh browser, ARCHIVES CORRUPTED, installation failed, i'm retrying downloading ......
It's a troll isnt it?

I mean... If you are a real broken sword fan you dont have a problem when you have to wait 6 hours...

I think you are overreacting a little bit...

Clearly you've missed the other dozen or so posts.

Also, the whole "real fan" argument only ever held water in the playground.

Maybe not a troll, if you one of the poor guys that still have data allowance and no flatrate stuff like this can be annoying as fuck. And i assume if he does not want to go over his allowance he has to wait until the next "Day".

I was dissapointed too when i read that E2 will be released 1 month later, yes, i wanted to know how the story progresses and all that stuff, but i wasnt angry with the devs.
I assume he was piss'd because he backed the game? People really need to understand backing = throwing money away, you arent a damn investor... rofl.

Yes i threw 100$ @ outcast HD remake and i dont assume to see anytrhing of that game before end of 2015 at least, so what?

I gladly wait a few days more but get a better game instead!

And eventough you get shouted upon because of the real fan statement, i think its true, maybe the term of "real fan" isnt well choosen, more like reasonable player would fit here. Steam always fucks around with people tying release unlock dates to a random country which for me in switzerland is mostly like 1am in the morning the next day. So i have to wait another 16h until i can play it - so what?

People nowdays just go all hyperrage if something minor isnt very well thoughtout... dont really understand the point, the rather throw that hyperrage at EA or Activision by not buying their games...
