I just downlaod the game again, which took me nine hours, and I tried all three resolutions. Not mentioning that the resolutions are badly named (can you get any vaguer than "Full Screen 2"?) I cannot tell the difference between them. They all fill the screen, and they all seem to have the same level of detail.

I was hoping for some noticable upgrades to the graphics with the new 1080p HD textures, but I can not see what is different in this new resolution called "Full Screen 3" nor for that matter do I see any real changes at all in this patch. Am I the only one?
Uh…I downloaded the update and I saw a difference as soon as the opening scene opened up with that eagle. I don't know…Some people have an eye for things like that, others don't. I didn't mess around with any of the set up options. Just make sure you are opening the newer version of the game and not the older version. Like I said, I noticed the difference right as soon as the game started. It looks amazing.
I have 16:10 monitor, so I can see differences between the resolutions.

Full screen 1 is the original resolution. Because I have 16:10 monitor black bars appear at the top and bottom of the screen.
Full screen 2 appears as stretched unless I use graphic card settings to scale it myself. I guess it uses whatever resolution you have without scaling the image.
Full screen 3 makes the image fit to screen, but you see less stuff on the screen at the same than if you use full screen 1 ( you'll have to move around to see everything which you can see at the same time if you use 16:9 resolution).

Hey guys

Basically the three Full Screen modes each try to achieve a full screen image in different ways:

The first one asks your computer for a resolution appropriate for the game - for instance, 1280x720. Now every driver handles that in different ways - some will give the game what it asked for, others will stretch, shrink, letterbox or otherwise work out how to display the game based on their own logic. This means depending on your set-up the game can look very different. (And one of the reasons we always recommend you update your drivers to the latest iteration.)

The other two scale the screen to match your current desktop resolution, one preserving the aspect ratio whilst the other simply stretches.

As for the high def assets, if the game detects you've got a resolution of 1920 x 1080 or higher it will use the shiny new graphics, otherwise it will use the normal set.

Hope that clears up some confusion.

Thanks for clarification and I must say that I'm glad that recent patch added support to other types of monitors. While it was possible to manually set the aspect ratio from graphic card settings, this latest patch certainly makes it easier.
It's hard to understand why anybody would think Fullscreen 1, Fullscreen 2, Fullscreen 3 would be an adequate description for visual options.
