I'm going to do my first playthrough of Broken Sword: Shadow Of The Templars.

Should I play the original version or the Director's Cut?

I've heard that the Director's Cut, while adding material and refining the graphics, also removes a good bit of content. So, for a first time, which one would you recommend?
I played the original first and am glad I did. The story is more dramatic than in the DC too, and the DC removes quite a lot of stuff.

Oddly, there are also a lot fewer available save files in DC. 8 vs 32 (iirc) for the original.
Really? It REMOVES content? Could anyone specify a bit? Is this true?

It removes the option for failure; you can never perform an action that previously led to a death scene and it takes over control of your character at one point where previously you had to think about how to survive.

That's what I remember off the top of my head

It remove several hotspots, cutscenes, cannot die and different ending.
