I know this idea is kinda out of left field, but I was wondering if there are any plans to combine the complete original version of Broken Sword 1 with Nico's individual storyline in the Director's Cut. My main issue with the Director's Cut isn't necessarily Nico's story. I don't think it's great, but I also don't think it detracts from the original storyline. My main issue with the DC is that they remove a lot of dialog, a lot of hot spots, a lot of cut scenes, all of the death scenes. It's kinda like playing a bastardized version of the original. I think it would be a great idea to take the original game, remaster it like in the DC, keep all of the original's content, and simply combine it with Nico's storyline. I imagine Revolution has a lot on their plate right now, and the resulting product might simply be too large for phones and tablets, but it should be compatible with computers. And I definitely think people would want to play it. It's a shame that the DC for the first one is kinda haphazard, because Revolution did a great job with the remastering of the 2nd one.
I doubt we;ll see this happening. To be honest I'm hoping they just leave BS1 alone from now on before it turns into the video game equivalent of the original Star Wars trilogy.
The re-release and updates to the first two games and releasing all the previous games as well was to get enough money raised to do 5....which they just sent to Kickstarter anyway, so I find it much more likely to see BS6 or Beneath a Steel Sky 2 instead.
You mean like the infinite remade versions of Lunar 1.
