i have just purchased and downloaded bs 4. when ever i try to run the game i get an error message, saying important components missing please download new copy of game to fix this issue. i have done this and still getting same message. any body have any ideas on how i can fix this please .

Have you deleted cookies of your browser before re-downloaded the game? Maybe it can fix your problem.

Does the game actually install but give a error on running or does it fail to install ?

Yes the game installs fine. the error message say " the program can't start becuase d3dx9_30.dll is missing from your computer.

that is a DirectX error, install the latest runtime from microsofts site or download it here

after installation you shouldn't see that error anymore but on the off chance you do you could always just download the DLL by using google search for it then after downloading it put it into the same folder as the game.

thanks for that :) i have downloaded it, its asking me to choose which file to store it in. im not very computer savvy so if anybody could help me with this, it would good :)

to use it first make a folder on your desktop and call it DirectX, then run the downloaded file and tell it to extract to the new folder you just created called DirectX, now after it extracts go into the folder DirectX and open the file called
DXSETUP.exe
then install that, after it installs you should be able to run broken sword 4. hope this helps.
