Right after launching, BS4 (more precisely bs4pc.exe) exits with the error: "The procedure entry point GetTickCount64 could not be located in the dynamic link library KERNEL32.dll". This happens on Windows XP SP3 32bit.

Some internet searches revealed that there are two functions in kernel32.dll: one is GetTickCount, the other GetTickCount64. The latter was created because the former presents the risk of overflowing. The trouble is that, according to the official documentation [1], GetTickCount64 only exists beginning with Windows Vista. The game page [2], though, claims that the game is playable on Windows XP, too. So how do I play on XP a game that requires a function only available from Vista onwards? Has anybody else played the current GOG version of the game on XP? (The solution would be for GOG to recompile the whole game and change some compile-time parameters.)

PS: Why can't I post links, and have to resort to tricks like the one above?
