I'm planning on playing through the original BS1 before the Director's Cut at the recommendation of most people on GoG, but the sound in the original is messed up. Practically all the dialogue is accompanied by static and regular loud crackling. It's making it difficult to play through the game. Is there any way to fix this?

If it runs out of dosbox, sounds like the sound settings need to be tweaked... did you email support?

Not DOSBox, but I just needed to fiddle with the SCUMMVM sound settings. Thanks.

Good deal, I'll make sure to keep this in mind when I play through the game myself.
