Hi!
I just get started in the game, sadly stuck a few times. I caught in that coded message part. There's any hint how to resolve?
I know I can find on YouTube, I just wonder what the trick? Oh, and English not my motherlanguage.
There is a hint system in the Director's Cut. Click on the "?" sign and you will get hints for the problem you are stuck on. For example, clicking "?" several times when solving the coded message puzzle will first reveal several letters, and when that doesn't help out, clicking "?" again will reveal the whole message.

Hint: it's best to first work out the vowels, since they are the most common letters. Then figure out the short words.

Thanks the help. Anyway, since my post I use Youtube walkthrough for the first few letter, then I finally get solved a puzzle.
(For future reference, as you have already seen the solution): there are some simple base steps when trying to crack direct substitution codes in English:
- a word consisting of a single letter is either "a" or "I". Substitute, then look for occurrences in later steps
- once you have the "a", look for two-letter words starting with "a" - these will most likely be "an" or "at"
- when you see a 3 letter word, try substituting with "the"
- the letter "e" is the most commonly found letter in general English text
- only some letters in English can be used consecutively: ss, ee, oo, tt...
Another fairly easy thing to do is figure out who the letter is probably addressed to based on where you found it. The first word is almost always that person's name.

Thanks for the tip! It helped me to decipher the second letter without looking in a walkthrough (hate it when I lose patience). +1!
