Did this puzzle make sense to anyone else. Up to this point all the puzzles have been logical even if the Goat one cheated a bit. But the chess puzzle made no sense to me, it just seemed random. Did I miss something in the discussion with old lady? Anybody have a logical breakdown for this one?

I have no clue as well. Anyway, it's not a big one.

Checkmate with white pieces over red ones: the white pieces threaten to the red king (figure on the left with cross over the head), and the white king is safe.

Note this: the figures with drums are knights.
