Hi there,
the first time I played Broken Sword (or Baphomets Fluch as it is called in Germany) was around 1997. I had bought one of those compilation CDs for my old PC. The famous intro caught my attention at once and I emerged into that game right away.
Since then I played all the games including BS 2.5. I don‘t know if I ever finished one of those games but that‘s OK for me. Of course, modern games like Life is Strange are fantastic for me but I still like old games like the BS-Series. I guess I bought multiple copies over the last years. Yesterday I bought the whole compilation on steam for around 6 EUR (!!) because I couldn‘t save the games with the GOG setting. In the end I installed and deinstalled BS1 a couple of times and somehow I am able to save now. Don‘t know why though.
Conclusion: I think that old games such as BS are still playable even in 2022! Have fun!
