Hey folks…I have a quick question regarding Broken Sword I. I've been told by multiple sources that, if you go to Spain before you visit Syria, there is a glitch in the game in which the priest at the church in Montfaucon doesn't appear. Basically, you need to travel to Syria before you visit Spain the first time. Whenever I am replaying the game, I always travel to Syria first…Mostly because that's the way I've always done it. But, observing the game now, it does make more sense, at least from a plot standpoint, to travel to Spain immediately after Nico steals the tripod from the museum. Remember, after Nico steals it, George is talking to her in her apartment and she mentions how Andre had deciphered the family crest in the manuscript. So logically, George should probably go back to the museum, talk to Andre about the crest, than travel to Spain and get the chalice. I don't know why I didn't play it like that last time, but within the past few years, I've read a lot of blogs here online that state that, if you travel to Spain first, then to Syria, the priest will never appear and you will be stuck. Thinking about it now, I think the actions which trigger the priest to appear is obtaining both the chalice and the lens in the cave in Syria. But I'm not completely sure. Is there anyone out there who can clarify this?
