The opening animation and in-game animation is pretty choppy. Anyone have any tips for smoothing it out?

Installing this fixed it for me:

I'd previously downloaded the DLL file from the internet because the game would crash on startup without it, but this version fixed the movies and stopped the game from crashing every 5 minutes.

I'd previously downloaded the DLL file from the internet because the game would crash on startup without it, but this version fixed the movies and stopped the game from crashing every 5 minutes.
I have the same problem as auntyjack. Game is very choppy (as well is the mouse pointer). First it didn't start, so I installed the OpenAL32.dll. Now the game does start and I got it ti full screen mode, but it now it is very choppy. I hope someone can help.

Did you install the version I linked? When I just googled for OpenAL32.dll I had the same problem, but when I used the installer it fixed the problem.

Yeah, I did install that one (and did it again). But it is still choppy :-( Anyone else any ideas?

I couldnt start the game then downloaded the oalints zip that worked ok except most of the background graphics are missing. Everything else works you can pic things up and use them but there are only a few background graphis. This ones got me puzzled.

Sorry to reactivate this topic, but the fixes above did not work. Especially the mouse cursor is still very choppy and unresponsive, also the animations aren't really smooth.. Any suggestions would be much appreciated.
