I just bought & downloaded Broken sword 3 Downloaded the installer?? Seemed confusing when there was no flat out DOWNLOAD GAME button anywhere! I start game=it keeps flashing to a bunch of action cut screens then finally stops at Click here to start which looks like a box to click on?? Trouble is....I dont have a dang cursor to even click on start!

I've played around=lowered resolution -that helped the video clip scenes to look better and not jumpy. But WHERE IS MY CURSOR??

DOES ANYONE HAVE ANY LUCK PLAYING THIS GAME SO FAR??

I hate having beginning constant probs & im not happy since i usually download from Amazon or other places. I took a chance here & Im regretting & wanting to ask for refund wondering if THAT will be a series of problems too? Is this a trustworthy website? I thought it was for some reason...hmmm Penny Lane
Broken Sword 3, unlike other games of the series, doesn't use mouse at all. It's completely keyboard controlled. .pdf manual which came with the game explains the controls.

I experienced one minor graphic glitch during my play through, but otherwise it worked without any issues (I have Win7 x64 desktop). And while the controls are somewhat annoying, it's nice game with a good story and enjoyed playing it more than I enjoyed playing the 4th game of the series.

Digging it up

I've had a strange problem with BS3. I have a CRT monitor and a LCD tv connected (with HDMI) to my pc). I also have ATI Radeon HD 5570.
No problem playing game on CRT, but when changing to LCD game didn't even starts. No mather in what resolution.

SOLUTION:

In ATI VISION CONTROL CENTER --> My Digital Flat-Panels--> Properities (Digital Flat-Panel)
Uncheck box: "Enable GPU scalling" and/or "Enable ITC processing". Don't know witch exacly becouse I turned off both.
Now game runs properly. But to by honest I didn't finish it yet, so mayby there are other problems.
I ran across a fix over on the steam forums for start up freezes. I'm not sure if this works in NVidia based cards, but if they have a similar setting, it's worth a shot. I've confirmed it works on the GOG version of the game.

Okrutnik "My solution for startup hang is to lock the monitor refresh rate for 3d application to 60Hz. No other changes were needed. I have a ATI Radeon 4850HD card. I went to Catalyst Control Center, then Display Options, in the middle - 3D Refresh Rate Override changed from "Same as desktop" to 60Hz which is ok for LCD panel. Now the game works just fine. "
