I played the first Broken Sword a couple years ago and thought it was great.I own Broken Sword 1 & 2 from GOG (I got 1 for free when GOG gave it away a while back, and I bought Broken Sword 2 on sale so financially there isn't a financial issue with what I'm going to ask) but I haven't gotten around to playing them yet. I noticed they have them available for iOS, and they seem to be the same version as the GOG one. Unlike some adventure games like Myst or The Journeyman Project, I think Broken Sword would work really well as a portable title (I was going to buy the DS version until I found out it had no voice acting). At 5 or 6 bucks each its a pretty good deal and I'd buy them if they were good versions of the games.

Has anyone had any experience with them? Do they handle just like the versions on GOG, and is voice acting in the games? Thanks!

Okay, I personally don't like to have games on my phone. Because, well, it's a phone. Why would I play games on a tiny screen if I could play them more comfortably on a big screen with a mouse.

But in case of Broken Sword I have this question: Isn't the game easier to play when you're able to move your mouse to see a hotspot and what you could do with it?
And isn't it easier to be able to right click to examine and left click to operate a hotspot?
I agree with you, being a huge PC game fan. I usually hate playing games on my phone, although that's because I've had an android phone until now and you can't get any involved adventure games from Google Play right now. You also make a good point about the controls. That's one thing to take into account, although in the reviews I've read of the game it is very easy and pleasant to see/use. That's part of what I'm asking, "is the feeling of the game lowered in any way by being on a portable system." The main appeal of the iphone version (if it contains everything the GOG one has) is that, being a portable title, I will have more initiative/time to play it (because I have so many great PC games I have yet to play that replaying the new version of Broken Sword has taken a back seat)

So that's why I'm asking. I generally feel the same way as you but if the game is exactly the same on iOS as my version I'd be willing to try out playing it on a phone just to see if It would work well for me. And if worst comes to worst and it isn't good I own both for PC so eventually I'll get to them :)
I own both BS 1 & 2 for iOS (though haven't completed either on the platform) and I actually really like them. Controls are a non-issue (for me, at least.) Nearby hotspots are highlighted when you tap the screen and you drag items from your inventory to use them. It's actually one of the best adventure game interfaces I've used for an iOS game (having played SoMI:SE, Simon the Sorceror, among others.)
AFAIK, it is exactly the same Director's Cut (or Remastered, for BS 2) for iOS and PC, so there is voice acting.

Thanks! I went ahead and bought the original and like you said it seems to be exactly the same as the pc version. the screen is obviously smaller but the game is less pixelated so it kind of strikes a balance.
