Hi

I have just bought the director's cut of Broken Sword and installed Open AL which fixed the startup problem but now in play all i get is white. Collard is drawn but everything is white! Can anyone help? (running win 7 with ati radeon x1950 pro card)
I have the exact same problem......
Does your play have mouse slow down as well? Im thinking I might need to clean up my computer and perhaps make sure the video card drivers im using are up to date! Thats all i can think of for now...

Hopefully I have solved this, obviously dependent on what setup you have, but what I have is a ATI Radeon X1950 pro running under win 7.
I tried updating the OpenGL support but according to other blogs Win 7 doesn't exactly openly support it as it competes with Microsoft's own DirectX. So, if you update your DirectX to latest one it should help.
I also researched through ATI website about new drivers for my reasonably old graphics card and found that, again, it is not widely supported under win 7 and so they suggested downloading the Vista 32/64 Legacy Catalyst Control Centre instead (about 95MB) (if you google ATI Legacy driver it should take you to the page for ATI).
Upon downloading and installing (takes about 10 mins) I restarted Broken Sword DC and....HEY PRESTO!!!! No WHITE!!! And the lag on the mouse was gone! Awesome.
Hope this helps.
ps: obvously if you have a different graphics card then look into the mother website and see if what you have is supported fully by win 7.
