Hello everyone, I have a weird issue. Once I start the game and click "New Game" in the menu... nothing happens. Tutorial works normally :-(. What is the matter? Any solutions, please?

That is a strange one, I don't think I've come across this problem so far.

Unfortunately, that does mean that I have to ask a bunch of questions (so may seem pointless, but I assure you, they're all important).

1. What OS are you playing the game in? (Windows/Linux/macOS)
2. Can you please tell me what your CPU and GPU are, and also how much RAM you're using.
3. When you play the tutorial, does it work fine? By that I mean, does the game run smoothly or do you notice any frame drops, or anything else?
4. When you say that 'nothing' happens, can you please take a screenshot of that and attach it here? (I know that 'nothing happens' is quite specific, but seeing the exact place is always useful).

That's it for now, hopefully we'll be able to get you playing the game properly soon!
I agree it is a strange issue.

1. Windows 10
2. NVIDIA 940M and Intel(R) Core(TM) i5-6200
3. It works fine. I mean, it is definitely no 80 FPS, but definitely playable.
4. Well, see attached. It really feels like if my mouse would not be working (it is :D)

I am also running this issue through the technical support of GOG (so drivers, admin rights etc. should be all ok).

Many thanks!

Thank you for the information!

We think we know what may be causing this (a crash of sorts in the background) but to help you with your case, we will need to see your output log.

Would you mind finding your game's output log file and sending it to us at support@portaplay.dk
Normally, the output log can be found in this directory:
c:\users\<yourPCname>\AppData\LocalLow\PortaPlay\Broken Lines

In that directory you should see a file called output_log.txt - that's the one that we need from you!

If you cannot find the file, please check this page as it explains how to find it a bit more.
https://docs.unity3d.com/2018.3/Documentation/Manual/LogFiles.html

If you do send it, would you mind leaving a note here when that's done?
I'll give the main devs a good old fashioned poke that they should look into it to see if anything can be found.
Ha ha!

Made it! It is running!

The issue was that I apparently once started the game with Intel GPU instead of Nvidia. The game remembered the settings (even after reinstall) and did not want to launch. I have erased the game file from the folder which was mentioned by you and now it is up and running.

Many thanks for your help! And many thanks for a great game.

Cheers,

Jan
