I bought Broforce a couple years ago and loved it immediately. I introduced my nephew to it and we both have had a lot of fun playing together. The problem is that we have played the game to death, and then kept going.

The game is still fun but after all those hours the game is getting dull. So I wanted to ask if anyone had a recommendation for a game that was similar to Broforce.

Anyone?
I haven't found anything that quite scratches the same itch, either. Devolver has published a bunch of 16-bit styled action games, but none are quite as fun to play as Broforce. You might try using mods to add maps and bros.
If you mean 2d side-scrolling shooter, the closest I've found is "The Butcher", but it's not as enjoyable.

For other games that are easy to just jump in and play though, I've recently been playing and replaying these:

Ape Out

Gauntlet

Both of those games have some random generation, so if you replay a level it will be slightly different.
