[edit: This was tested with the early 'demo' version, not the Infinite release. For some reason the Infinite release requires some different wine patches than the 'demo'. See the second post.]

Just in case any other linux user is wondering; the videos are the only thing broken when running the game in wine (due to the familiar licensing issue of mfplat videos).

1. Install the game through wine
I used minigalaxy, which simply installs/runs the game in wine. If you are an advanced user using the wine-devel branch; 6.20 breaks the game, use 6.19 or simply change to the normal stable branch of wine.

2. Copy mf-install master branch to your system and run the install command
https://github.com/z0z0z/mf-install - This simply adds the required .dll files to the wine prefix of the game to decode the videos.

3. Run the game
Performance is somewhat worse than windows, but aside from the somewhat lower fps, no issues.

Small note for lutris users:
For me the game actually does not run with the default wine libraries of lutris. So if possible, set the runner to some other wine version or even system wine if possible.

Edit: Just tested Infinite and it simply runs out of the box with Lutris
(default runner, lutris-fshack-6.21-3-x86_x64)

Thanks for testing this!

I was able to use Lutris default settings and it works great! (also using default runner, lutris-fshack-6.21-3-x86_x64).

Now, to get GoG to support achievements in Linux and that'd be amazing.
