I got the game on Game Pass (so happy it is there!) and wow, it is fantastic. I am just about done with the main story. I'd like to purchase the game either on here (preferred) or steam. Will the achievements unlock for me or do I have to start over entirely?

You will surely have to star over entrely., but myabe if you contact with customer service of GOG they do this for you.
