I'm definitely seeing the FOV stretched for 16:9 in this release. Previous versions have allowed you to patch the exe with your desired aspect ratio, but that was on a previous version of the exe.

Does anyone know a fix, or if Ziggurat has plans to fix it?
I went ahead and applied the widescreen patch from ModDB, referenced on PCgamingwiki. It includes a patched .exe, so who knows if any of the "fixes" in the new release are working, however, the ratio is accurate, the framerate and control is nice and responsive, and the game logic seems intact.

It seems to, and so far quests and everything have been fine, but "regular" lighting has been splotchy and weird. Vertex lighting is fine, but doesn't have any environmental shadows.

But yeah, widescreen works, just ymmv.

I've been using the myers widescreen fix on the steam copy of the game and haven't noticed any issues caused by it.
