When the backer demo was released and it was 64-bit, I sent a mail to the developers and they said they would be working on a 32 bit version aw well. I guess they weren't obligated to promise me anything.

Yes, I'm aware 32-bit is obsolete by now. But my 10-years old machine is all I have to work with for the foreseeable future, and to keep getting stuck on the other side of that glass wall really stings, most of all in regards to a game I've been looking forward to for the past two years and heftily backed.
So much for all the "potatoes can run this" in the requirements section...

My 10 yo potato laptop can run this on low, but it was designed to run Win7 64-bit and is now running Win10 64-bit. It's not a question of being old, it's a question of different technology. While it started to penetrate homes during Vista's short life, Win 64-bit actually started back in 2001~2002 with XP, so it's far from being a recent technology.
Does your cpu support x64? How much ram do you have?

I know for a fact that my ancient Core 2 duo from 2007 supports it, so I can slap a somewhat tweaked win7 64bit on it, disable lots of bloatware and automation off and make it run reasonably well even on that dualcore. I don't recommend XP 64bit though, it was quite a mess.

Anyway, it's a new game made in UE4 so I don't know if it's even possible to export it as 32bit executable these days without breaking stuff or doing some serious workarounds (which might affect performance, stability, etc - nothing that would help you, or anyone for that matter).

I'm sorry but blaming software for not working a 32 bit computer that I suspect is probably older than 10 years old is no excuse and completely unfair. A cursory glance on Amazon and I found a laptop for $250 which I'm sure will run Bloodstained fine. And with all due respect, if the next thing you tell me is that you can't afford a $250 laptop, then my friend you have way bigger issues.
Anything in the last 15 years can run 64-bit code, let alone 10.

What the heck are you running, if you can only run 32bit?
