Just now, they posted on Discord great news!

Soundtrack DLC is going to receive a separate, FLAK files compilation!

And those eligible for free sountrack via code redemption (60+ tier backers), are going to receive a code in their mailed survey from Fangamer, right after Switch release! In their announcement, they say "switch release is tommorow"!

Keep your eyes open! Maybe, they are going to do some proper, serious patchwork, around the whole project! Can't wait to hear Michiru's new masterpiece in lossless quality, ne?

Awesome, I just hope the loopings and endings of the tracks are less abrasive than the MP3 I keep hearing about.
Today, 9 am pdt

is the Switch Release!

After it, soundtrack codes for the backers, will arrive (the ones eligible for it, over 28 tier and digital ones)!

Now I can listen to Forgotten Jade with lossless quality.
I would check out the FLAC soundtrack, myself, but I haven't gotten my key, yet. I haven't been reading anything good about it, though.

Wonderful !!!

I discovered this just today and just bought the soundtrack package quickly! :)

Now I can hear them in my Home Theater quietly! :D
I will be sure to purchase the soundtrack, once it is released in FLAC

I'm a $60-tier slack physical GOG backer and I haven't gotten my soundtrack unless that's only for digital versions. I've checked my backer survey and the only things I see are my GOG keys for the full game+IGA Back Pack DLCs and my Steam key for Curse of the Moon (thanks Inti for cucking us out of a GOG version).

They announced that soundtracks are to arrive some time in the coming week.

I thought the very same thing, since they didn't specify anything other than "after switch release", but thankfully, this isn't the case.

It is regretful and shameful, though... For the same money and a bit less, even, had we not backed but purchased everything here day 1, not only the final outcome would have been the same, but we would have gatehered everything in piece and by a lot sooner, than poor backers... The humble fodder of all kickstarter campaigns!

the majority of tracks appear to end on intentional end points followed by silence. Which can be somewhat jarring but also I realize can sometimes be a style of ending a song people go for.

There are some tracks that appear to have slipped through however, where they flat out just end abruptly / sound cut off.

So they still need to do some work on this.

They should have applied a standard industry fade-out to al tracks imho.

It would also help if the FLAC download was actually CD quality, not the same MP3s we already had converted to FLAC.

Yes I just found out and was shown, this company just keeps doing things to piss people off and its extremely annoying
UPDATE

Don't hold your breath:

- Switch info comes later this week in an update.
- GOG does not have the soundtrack for backers yet. It comes when ready.
Okay, just managed to download the soundtrack through fangamer, and the FLAC soundtrack seems to be full spectrum CD quality.

I haven't had a chance to listen to it, properly, yet, though, but it's looking good, so far.

[EDIT] Added the spek sheets for the FLAC and MP3 version of ''01 - Theme of Bloodstained''.

What is the source for their FLACs though, is the question. Did they rip an actual CD?

I've seen similar spectrum readouts from people where the files looked identical

edit: I'm curious what program you used to generate that though, might want to toy with it myself for other reasons / albums

edit2: thin I found it, gonna assume it's "spek".

edit3: I've been looking at MP3 and FLAC provided by GOG in Spek
they should exactly the same characteristic on each spectrograph

I have attached screenshots of the first two tracks from the OST in FLAC and MP3
