Whenever I start up a new game of BloodRayne 2, the intro cinematic just skips for some reason. Not touching my keyboard or doing anything along those lines. It just says the date and then hard cuts to the loading screen. Not a big issue, just curious if anyone has a fix. Tried to verify my game files already.

Having the same issue with every cutscene so far, and I can only play the "Demo Reel" in the Movies section in the main menu. So something seems to not be doing what it should.
Hi,
I'm getting this same issue on Windows 10 64Bit, 32Gb Ram, Geforce GTX 2080 Super Driver 457.30, MSI Z390 Gaming Pro Carbon AC MB. Exactly as described in the first and second posts above. The instore description talks about upscaled FMVs, which is not happening for my game just yet. So Im hoping the kind developers can please address this. Also thanks again for giving these games some much needed love to modernize them.
I had same problem. After the date and name of the location game would go straight into loading.
Here's what can you try: go to folder where game is installed, look for A1S01P01-A4S03P04 .bik files and move them to folder called video.

For whatever reason, installer (at least on my end) copied only .srt files into video yet put .bik files containing actual cutscenes where all dlls, exes and pod's are. Let me know if it helps.

P.S. where is option to enable subtitles in-game, developers?

I tried copying video files from legacy and put them in TC, and after verifying everything in GOG, it didn't do shit....
Also You're so right about the subtitles! I completely forgot about those! What the hell is going on with this game? I thought this was supposed to make the game more polish....

I meant BloodRayne 2 Terminal Cut folder, not legacy.

Haha, seriously, I mean I'm glad this series is getting some attention again, but that is some hilarious lack of care from whoever put the installer together. Regardless, copying the files seems to have fixed the cutscenes, thank you for posting it!

That isn't everything. The Terminal version of BR2 is missing several music tracks and the level scripts have been extensively modified - in several occasions introducing bugs not present in the original release.

TBH I suspect Terminal Cut may have been built from an unfinished version of the game.

That wouldn't surprise me. I've noticed that the in-engine cutscenes seem even jankier than they were in the original GOG release. But the physics are more predictable in the TC so the gameplay is a bit better at least.

Hello! This issue was caused by a file mapping error on the first release of the GOG version of patch 1.01 for BR2:TC. We've corrected the patch's file mapping, so the issue with skipping cutscenes should no longer occur once you have verified game files from Galaxy again. Please contact us at support@zigguratinteractive.com if you still experience any issue with getting the cinematics to play during the game.
