I want to play this game so bad but I keep having issues. I resolved my crashing issue but I can't get the game to detect my gamepad. I'm using DS4Windows and the menu responds to controller input but it is not recognized once I try to actually play. When I try to switch the controls from keyboard to gamepad it tells me there's no gamepad connected (but I'm able to use my gamepad to adjust other settings).
I have reinstalled multiple times, tried running compatibility mode, and I'm using updated drivers. I don't know what else to do, please help!

I'm having this exact same issue and I'm waiting for a patch to play. This is supposed to be a remaster, I'm not sure why this kind of thing is happening. It was infuriating trying to get the game to recognize either an xbox or ds4 and I had no luck.

Try restarting your computer with the controller still plugged in. I had the same issue myself, and apparently, doing this solved the issue and it let me use the controller.
