Be wary of this one, as it's a genuinely dreadful game. Any game that pits a sexy vampire assassin against nazis and STILL manages to be dull is doing something seriously wrong.Combat is flat and lifeless, graphics are uninspired and there are far, far better third-person action games out there.
The sequel improved massively on the original and was actually a playable, enjoyable game, so if you absolutely must have some vamp action, I'd wait for that to turn up instead of wasting your time on this. This wasn't even a good game when it was released, and time (coupled with the recent surge of quality third-person action games) has just made its failings all the more obvious.
Couldn't disagree more, to be honest. The sequel was a definite drop compared to this, despite the addition of some new mechanics, mostly because it lost the atmospher in many ways and Rayne's characterization didn't seem anywhere near as good. Aside from the new moves, the sequel really added nothing and the story is a lot less compelling, such as the story is in EITHER of these pretty simplistic and deliberately OTT games.
I'd definitely say buy Bloodrayne, if you really liked it consider the demo of the sequel and see if you want to even bother.
