Hi ingsoc.

I'd recommend sending that one over to Support as that looks like the world's oddest error message to me. Thanks :)

Just did that, will update if there is any developments.
The internal player works fine for me with good sound on Win 7 (but videos are stretched incorrectly to a 16:9 ratio on my screen... note: I'm using the Coop DB FSAA patch to play the game at 1920x1080 with a corrected FOV.

If you cannot get sound in cutscenes to work natively, the above FSAA patch (forum won't let me post links... so search google) has a great feature that allows the game to use an external video player to play the cutscenes during the game (instead of the ancient integrated player).

I use the VideoLan VLC player, which is great for general use and works perfectly with the correct 4:3 aspect ratio for the videos during the game. I suspect that this would solve your cutscene audio problems as well... Plus, the FSAA patch makes the game look MUCH better.
Thanks for your replay and suggestion tbeben, however from a quick Google search its seem that the patch is intended to the second game while my problem are with the first.
Hi, sorry for replying to this old post, but have you found any solution to this problem? I'm experiencing it right now on my system and i can't seem to find a workaround.
edit:my mistake i thought the problem was another one
