As the title says. It keeps telling me to calibrate it and I try to exit the menu, even after I've calibrated it. Has it always been like this? Is it specific to GoG or is it the game in general. Any fix?

It's neither the game nor the GOG specific release. I can't say why it doesn't work for you but the game does seem to work with my wireless 360 controller just fine. It has several calibration screens with different prompts, but they seemed to work properly.
Which version of Windows are you using? I suppose it's safe to assume the game itself has no other issues and the controller works in other games, correct? It's certainly odd.

I using Windows 7 and my controller is wired. Yes, the controller works fine with other games.

Very odd. Did you make sure to go through all of the configuration screens?

Yeah, it's just two, right? After the second one, it takes me to the options screen.
Sorry for digging up an old post but I got the same problem here. The (wireless) XBox 360 Controller is totally misconfigured by default (e.g. shooting the gun was the start button)

I also can't properly calibrate the gamepad because Axis 3 in the calibration screen is mapped to the L and R triggers instead to the x-axis of the right analog stick. Since it's the axis for turning left/right it's quite painful to play.

I was able to re-map the other buttons via the config screen but the game never seems to accept input from the right analog stick's x-axis.

Can anyone help me with this?

Hi, i've made a guide in which i think it 'll fix this issue. It was made for the Steam version, but it should work with any version of the game.

Hope this helps: steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=455805875

Outstanding! I was having the same issue as the OP, and this fixed it right up.

Thank you!
