Note: I shall be including Bloodrayne 1 and 2 in this review.
Bloodrayne:
A gory, action packed shooter oozing over with atmosphere, nazi's and of course blood.
You play as Rayne a Dhampir (half-vampire) set on sucking Nazi's of their blood dry. Okay i admit the story is shockingly bad, but if you can stand that you will find a gem of a game which will keep calling you back for more.
Unlike many modern games the Bosses are genuinly a challenge and will keep you on your toes.
Naturally every game has it's flaws the main one here being the story and the lack of mid - level save is very annoying.
4 Stars.
Bloodrayne 2:
Like the first you play as a dhampir sucking anyone you see dry there are a few improvements in the second game but even more flaws added.
The melee combat has been improved and there of lots more gory combos for you to enjoy harvesting your meals with, however the ranged combat has been turned into rubbish, guns which use blood for guns and are complete drivel? The other annoying things are tomb raider style acrobatics purely irritating and enemies which keep coming at you until you throw a couple of them in a fireplace or something.
3 Stars.
All in all these games will appeal to anyone who can compensate for gameplay over story.
