I've been playing blood for quite a while now and I still havn't figured out what it does. Everytime I use it, it doesn't seem to do anything

iirc, this feature was scrapped in the final version like the shadowcloak, except the cloak shadow was left inside a level in the Cryptic Passage. Why it's there remains a mystery.

It makes your enemies highlighted (also brighter) no matter what distance or how dark is, so it's not like Night Vision but as it's name says, Beast Vision, like animal sense any nearby enemies.
