Hello,

To begin, I have 2 Blood installs and 3 DOSBox: one original with original 0.73 DB, a Blood launcher with DB 0.74, and the rest from GOG.

The original and launcher have both sound and music working... And can't get both working at once with GOG version.

I know a bit about editing CONF/CFG stuff, but can't get it to work... Same settings from other install makes GOG's Blood crash.

Any idea what are the best settings for GOG one? Or should I reinstall?

Thanks in advance,

Mateos.

Edit:
Music's working in level 2...

You may just have gotten your conf files crossed. For instance, if you have DOSBox directed to one dosbox.conf file, say dosboxSetup.conf, to configure the sound, and you are then trying to launch Blood with a second conf file, say dosboxBlood.conf, if the sound settings for dosboxSetup.conf and dosboxBlood.conf are not the same, you will have the very problem you have described.

If sound is working the way you like when you run Blood's configuration utility, setup.exe, I would just delete dosboxBlood.conf, copy dosboxSetup.conf and rename the copy to dosboxBlood.conf. After that is done, edit your new copy of doxboxBlood.conf. Near the bottom of the file, where it says setup.exe, replace that line with blood.exe

I think I found what is wrong: the first music is not loud enough compared to the others so far... I did as you said: from my other DB to the first CONF, then past it to other CONFs with WinMerge, but it wasn't a matter of DB config.

Thanks anyway!

Glad you got it working.
