I used to make maps when about ten years ago so remember alot of techniques and how to use the different functions. But there are somethings I have forgotten if somebody could help refresh my memory that would be awesome.
First question - Does anybody know how to make rotating doors and sliding doors. I still sort of understand, but have forgotten most of the process.
Second question - Does anybody know where I can find a list of the sounds? I can't remember any of the numbers at all.
Third question - How can I run the maps now? I can't even find the .MAP files once I've saved them.
Thanks to anyone who can help.

Hello FITrider,

In response to your questions (if still required):

Follow this link:
http://www.mediafire.com/?hv8hvti4a451g

You should see two Zip Files I have uploaded to MediaFire.
Blood1.Zip/Blood2.Zip

Hover your mouse over each one and click the "Download" Button that should appear on the right.
(See Pic1) Click on the link to download (See Pic2)

You'll have to download each file individually, as I have only set up a Free Account. (Bulk Downloads are not allowed)

Questions 1 & 2 may be answered with these files.
They’re Zipped, so you will need a program like WinZip to de-compress them.
WinZip is free to download and try at : http://www.winzip.com/prod_down.htm

Blood1.zip contains .MAP Examples and associated Text Files, detailing how to create some of the effects in MAPEDIT.

Blood2.zip contains Word Documents that may also help.

> Mapedit Editing and Effects (Part 3) - Special Effects, Traps, Sounds - (Credit - Michael Shire)
> MAPEDIT QUICK REFERENCE (Credit - Michael Shire)
> MAPEDIT Original Documentation

I downloaded these files years ago; I’m surprised I still have them!

In response to Question 3, you should try the “One Unit Whole Blood Launcher” by McTecman.

Hope this helps!

Thank you to the previous posters. Unfortunately it seems the link to the launcher is no longer active. I have a heap of levels I made back in the day that I really want to run, so if anyone can explain to me how to play them through DOS Box I would be greatly appreciative.
Hi caleb444,

The link in my previous post, used to reference the sticky on this Forum.
The link was probably made redundant, after the GOG Website was updated a while back.

This is the updated link:

I have also re-uploaded the Zip files from my previous post as well, in case they are of use to anyone.

BloodZip1*

Contains .MAP Examples and associated Text Files, detailing how to create some of the effects in MAPEDIT

BloodZip2*

Contains Word Documents that may also help with regards to MAPEDIT

@caleb444

To play your Maps, it is recommended to install the Blood Launcher. Visit the makers Website or the forum sticky, for instructions on how to install all the necessary Launcher files. (This may seem a lot of work at first, but it makes things easier in the long term)

Website: http://blood.nanoaugur.net/
Click on the "How to Install..." link.

Depending on where you install the Blood Launcher, copy your Maps into the "MAPS" folder.

For example on my PC, I created a folder labelled "Blood Launcher" in the main GOG Directory, and unzipped all the Launcher files into this folder. E.g. C:\Program Files (x86)\GOG.com\Blood Launcher

Then navigate to C:\...\Games\Blood\MAPS
E.g. C:\Program Files (x86)\GOG.com\Blood Launcher\Games\Blood\MAPS

Place your Maps in here. Then run the Blood Launcher and click on the "Configs & Maps" Icon. Select a Map from the list displayed on the right and click on "LAUNCH THE MAP".

Hope this helps!

Thank you very much for your in depth instructions. I will follow the links and do my best to get everything working. I really appreciate your time and thoroughness.

P.S. If I do get everything working and can get my map collection from my old computer, I shall of course share them with this very kind and helpful community.
