Hi,
I'm getting about 10 fps running Blood. Changed the resolution and graphics overlay - still no joy.
SYSTEM is:
Windows 7 (32b Ult), 4Gb, Intel Dual Core, NVidia GTX260
Any ideas?.... anyone?.. ANYONE??

Have you tried OpenGL graphics? Also, try adding the line "memsize=64" to the every file labeled dosboxBlood in the "One Whole Unit Blood" directory. Ctrl + F and type in "memsize" to find the right place to look for it. Good luck!

By default the gog.com version of Blood 1 has dosbox config to for each expansion and the original game to have memsize=64...for each of the configs...

Hmm... Try updating your drivers then. Contact gog.com support by going to the "support" tab at the top and clicking "Contact Us".

I don't have the GOG version (have actual CDs) but this is what I use with the .73 DOS Box:
dosbox.conf:
fullresolution=0x0
output=openglnb
priority=higher,normal
core=dynamic
cputype=auto
cycles=max
memsize=64
frameskip=0
aspect=true
scaler=none
In-game resolution: 640x480
The framerate is usually 45-60, and almost never drops below 40.
I have Core 2 Duo E8400, 9600GT card
Edit: Better graphics with no performance hit using Gulikoza's latest build:
fullresolution=1280x960
output=direct3d
pixelshader=hq2x.fx
scaler=hardware2x
Everything else is the same. You get some nice anti-aliasing effect using the hq2x pixel shader this way.

Slow FPS here too, like a slideshow.

Tried on both rigs.

1) AMD FX-8150 / GTX960 - Windows 8.0 x64 / Windows XP x64 SP2
2) AMD A8-7650K / Radeon HD 7770 (as well as APU GFX) - Windows 8.1 x64

Works fine @ default resolution though when I increase to 1024p the FPS decreases dramatically (maybe ~15-20 FPS) and when adding scaling filters it drops agains (~10-15 FPS).

It's not like more modern games where the frame rate is all over the place, it seems constant yet a lot slower.
Try using DOSBox SVN Daum

If someone isn't afraid of a little adventure and compiling things, getting a Linux partition and grabbing Dosemu2 /w freedos or just freedos 1.1 alone to run this, I get a stable 90fps on 1280x1024. Would not surprise me if it remains around 60fps on slightly higher. At least until XL-Engine or BloodCM can run these more accurately.
