Whenever I set different resolution than the default one (320*200) the game crashes after a while (a few minutes or so).
Any clues?
(it has nothing to do with sound - I have already tried to disable it at all via setup and no luck)

Has anyone found another solution for this for Blood 1? I've tried everything I can find with no luck - the game is stable as far as I can tell at 320x200, but not any higher. I'm on XP 32-bit.

What puzzles me about this is that the game was fine last time I played it, which was a few months ago. I picked it up again today, and it crashes constantly.
I found that having the shortcut run under All right ADMIN, Run under Vista service pack 2 - in properties shortcut, screen Rez set at 1440x900 on primary display (My PC only has one primary) with all advance options checked - under advance options in startup menu, with S3 Savage 3D card and MS 3D emulation under sound tab. The game works great on Win 7 64bit Ultimate edition.

After changing my display "display startup" back to the G-force 470 card. The game still works so it has something to do with the screen Rez and advance options in my opinion. Hope this helps the next person.

The screen Rez looks really good at 1440x900 on wide screen. Everything looks just the way it should be.
I described a solution in my own thread which I had mistakenly not posted as a problem or support thread.

Maybe you should try this if you have problems with blood 1 on XP 32 bits.

Ok, I ran the compatibility wizard to have it run on Win 98\Me and it works fine now. Thank You
Oh boy, I feel kinda' ripped off right now. Had I known the game was just a Dosbox package (like the torrent I had of it) I probably wouldn't have bought it. I'm talking about Blood 1. Every time I get the game running, it runs for about a minute (and every, single, solitary time I have to reconfig the controls because for whatever reason they're not set for WASD even though the game is best played with Mouse look) then crashes. I followed some of the advice on here. I have Win 7. I ran as Admin, no difference. I ran it under XP compatability and 2000, no difference. Tried to run it under 95 and 98 compatibility and wouldn't even start. Tried starting the game and hit the desktop key and went into Task Manager and see if I could set affinity, it won't allow me to access. I have a Quad Core.

I feel really ripped off, sure it's $5 but still.
