Just a shout out to gog's geek squad and anyone else eager to get old lithtech games working reliably.

Hyperion made a opengl port for linux back in 2000. They have the source for a REN file that uses opengl instead of directX. Of course this is for linux and was designed for the shogo MFC client. Hyperion-entertainment hasn't responded to my 1 communication attempt, but maybe someone else would have better luck than I did.

cheers

Hi

I tried to contact with Hyperion many times, and I know people who did the same thing without any success. There is information from the chat that two users from lIflg.org which now work for Runesoft
cooperate with Hyperion in order to create a new version of Shogo for Linux.

I have no idea if they are still working on this game for Linux
Hyperion-entertainment clearly has rights to Shogo, at least to the elements they coded for it if they are contracting others to work on their software. From gog's perspective, this could open up an avenue for Shogo as they're expanding into linux gaming distribution themselves, wouldn't hurt to see if Hyperion would give gog a license.

Wouldn't help much with Blood2 either though.
