I tried Cryptic Passage today, and the gfx is completely broken. There are missing textures all over the place, flickering and all kinds of graphical glitches everywhere. I tried to change the renderer, but I got the same result from all three. Anyone experienced similar? The main game was fine, no gfx problems.
Also, why is this not a proper episode? I have to select every level from the user maps, and start from scratch??
To access it as a proper episode you need to go to Options > Manage Addons and select it from there.

I only got missing textures on OGL, but when I switched to DirectX, it was all fine.

Thank you, that solved my problem. The GFX issues are gone as well.
The only (rhetorical) question remained that why can I access the CP maps from the base game, when they are broken? Oh well.

Well, y'see...

The "Manage Addons" thing is mostly intended for mods like Death Wish or Bloody Pulp Fiction and other episode replacements and the game kinda treats Cryptic Passage as one of the mods, hence why its maps show up in the "User Maps" menu. But since it doesn't load all of the CP assets, instead relying purely on the vanilla game assets, the CP maps end up a bit broken.

I see. :) Speaking of Death Wish, have you tried it with Fresh Supply? Is it playable?

I haven't, but people reported that it's a bit buggy ATM. Wait for the next patch.

Right they are broken. anyway to fix this? makes it somewhat unplayable.
Don't use the User Maps selection to run CP levels, use the Add-on menu in the options menu. Or run it in BloodGDX or NBlood.
