I'm 38 too and I am playing Blood for the first time and boy am I having a ball. Perfect for Halloween time!

I'm 19, the first FPS I remember was my dad playing Doom, and then the next one I remember was him playing Half-Life. I wasn't allowed to play FPS's by mother until I was 16, and this game has shot up to one of my favorite games of all time. I love how a game like this can transcend age barriers.

Even though I'm forty years old, I missed out on playing Blood when it was first released. I'd always heard good things about it so when it hit GoG I knew it was only a matter of time until I bought the game. I admit, I felt a little trepidation before I finalized the purchase. Would the game hold up? I had no nostalgia involved with this game, I was going in fresh. Would I be let down? Would the opinions of those who may view the game through rose colored lenses hold true? Yes, they would hold and then some. Blood is pure FPS bliss in my opinion. From the theme of the game, to the level design, the enemies, the weapons, audio and soundtrack, everything is absolutely awesome. It's in my top three favorite FPS now.
