I was so excited about this when i saw it but wasn't too excited about the vista compatibility...
So will i be able to play this with no issues in Vista?
It runs under DOSBox, so if DOSBox runs under Vista properly (and it should), then there will be no problems.
Unless you're compulsive about trying to adjust the graphics resolution to your liking, the game should run flawlessly on Vista.
I'm running it at 800 x 600 under Vista and it's running perfectly.
1024 x 768 gave me screen flickering, but other than that, zero problems.
hmm...i guess i'll have to try it?
played this for hours when i was a little kid and my mom was at work :D
Okay now i bought it but im having some performance issues.
any suggestions?

You can try to change graphic mode setup. If that wont help please send a ticket to our tech support with your dxdiag attached and detailed description of your error.

well it runs perfectly with resolutions lower than 800 x 600 but it doesn't look as sharp as with higher resolutions

I had the same problem with redneck rampage another build engine game. I think its a limitation of the engine running through dosbox. Though it could just be a limitation with the engine at higher resolutions because I certainly didn't play Duke 3d at anything more then 800x600 when that first came out.

The game runs horrible with the default resolution when you first start the game, I need to change it to 320x400. I tried every graphic setup, from Overlay to OpenGL, I can't run the game at any higher resolutions.
Anything higher than 320x400 the game starts to stutter or lag, like if you run a game on a machine without the minimum recommendation. Also if you start changing resolutions a few times while in-game and start a new game later...well see the pic.
I'm running Vista x64 with 4 gigs of ram.

Yep, I have the same resolution issue here too Wealin. It's a little strange, as Duke runs beautifully under dosbox at any res.

What are your system specs?
Did you run the original setup.exe from the game itself under dosbox? That's where you setup your resolution and sound. That fixes any problems most of the time.

No problems there then. Maybe Support will know more as they'll have some insight into how they set DOSbox up.

Q6600 Quad core

It's not a speed issue that's down to the computer. I've tried running the game a number of ways- from the graphic setup, the dosbox setup for Blood. The game seems fine at 320x200, but any other modes bring about problems. Even at the default res there is a bit of choppyess.
EDIT: Actually, I think I'm remembering things wrong. I think this is normal for Dosbox. When Duke ran well for me it was using a hardware accelerated addon, which meant I could run it on my netbook.
EDIT 2: I may have to try these options...
