I tried all the stuff I found on the forums here and some others as well, but no matter what I do (resolutions, compatibility modes etc.) the game keeps crashing. Sometimes after closing the menu, always directly after the 2nd level loaded (yes i got past the 1st one once). All other games work just fine.

Windows 7 x64, Ati Radeon 5970, C2D8400

Will there be a fix soon?

Disable DirectX 6 commands in launcher options.
Hmm, it solved by me in running by 1024x768
Tried both, didn´t solve the problem. I realised it also crashes in the menu from time to time.
I've played the whole game at 1440x900. I get rare crashes, but that's it. I'm running WIn7x32 with an GeForce Go 7300 chipset. I didn't have to change any loader options either that I know of.

Nothing disabled, everything enabled under Advanced; no command-line parameters
Direct3D/ 1440x900x16 in Display
I using Windows 7 professional 32-bit and I still get these crashes. :-(
I have Windows 7 and I had lots of crashes with this game until I set the display to 1600x900 and now the game is crash free and runs perfectly
Hi

Blood 2 also crashed for me when I started a new game (right before the loading screen).
Tinkering with the Settings helped and I got to the first level (yay).

Right now I have set the resolution to 1024*768 (16-Bit), using the Primary Driver (under "Display Settings" in the List on the bottom left side) with Direct3D Renderer and nothing disabled and everything enabled.
Using my monitors native resolution (1280*1024) didn't work for me.

I tried through all the resolutions and its seems that every one with a ratio below 1.3333 (width/height) makes a problem (1280/1024 = 1.25, every other resolution I can set hast a ratio of 1.3333 or higher)

Oh yeah, and I am using a GeForce 9800 (GT or something?) and running on Windows 7 64-Bit.

Personal recommendation: Disable everything, choose a low resolution and slowly start re-enabling everything back again to find out whats causing the problems.

Hope this helps you and good luck
Hi everyone, I was looking through the games that are not compatible with Windows 7 and saw Blood 2 on the list. I'm running a windows 7 64 bit laptop and a desktop PC with Windows 7 and it Blood 2 runs fine on both. The only issue I have had is been asked to run as administrator but the .EXE seems to make all the necessary changes to resolution so the game can run. I was just wondering if people were still having problems with this game?

+1

I have the original disks which I bought way back in the late nineties. I had this game running fine on Windows 7, but you have to force 16-bit, run with admin access, and disable the cinematics (if such an option exists with GOG)
I've stopped the crashes by enabling "run as administrator" on Client.exe in the game directory. Win7 64bit.
i think is radeon problem. my latop using radeon HD 4530. and win7x64.
do not working blood2.

another radeon user playing blood2 ?

I have a Radeon Xpress 1250, and I've gotten the crashes to a minimum, I think. I was able to play through all of Nightmare Levels without a single crash.
