How do I fix this it crashes after I start a new game

Just tried all the steps but for whatever reason, as soon as I open up the game, configuring my resolution, I can't click on Advanced anymore and vice versa, except for "Launch Blood2" and "Quit". When I start up the game, there is a small black window for a brief moment, and then it disappears. No task running in the background whatsoever.

Yeah, I had that issue too, when I tried playing it again a few months ago. I gave up on it TBH. There is a Blood 2 focused discord, I might try and see what they have to say. It seems to run better under Wine on Linux, than any modern Windows.
