The system is win7 64bit. Actually I was a bit hesitating buying this game but someone said it's OK for win7 64bit so I guess I would try it. Anyway I've tried everything possible, including reinstalling the game and checking/unchecking every option and different resolutions. The game just crashed everytime I clicked on "Launch Nightmare".
Thanks in advance.
It's not the OS, as mine launches fine.
Could be a driver issue.

Any errors? Try running the game in Windows 98 or Windows 95 compatability mode. Right click properties of either the shortcut or the actual file within the directory, then click the compatibility tab and check the "Run this program in compatibility mode for:" and choose windows 98. I saying this as a user of Vista 64bit so im not 100% sure if it will work for you D:. Good luck and have fun!
EDIT: Chances are gog fixed the problem that I have listed the solution to. But it may work for you, you never know XD.

Weird then. I recall taking lots of effort when trying to run Blood2 under XP some years ago.
