In blood 1, under Fresh Supply, I'm stuck in the level E2m7: The Bowels Of The Earth.

After passing on the other side of the conveyor belt, you see chains hanging on the wall, but the problem is that as soon as I press the button on the right wall, I can't hang on to the chains, even with the "use" key (if that's what I have to do).

Because straight on the back wall (ignoring the bridge on the left) you can see a platform high up but inaccessible.

Flipped the switch, followed the chains. No rocks are forming to continue.
Any explanation why? I have to noclip to continue...

You should have picked up the jump boots. When you get to the other end where the chains go to you can use the jump boots to jump up on a section of rock that has been raised.
