I'm currently trying to play this game using GOG Galaxy's DX wrapper, but nothing seems to work.
The game begins to launch and then immediately crashes.
I've noticed mentions of Vertock patch but I'm nervous about downloading unknown files from unfamiliar sites.
Any suggestions?

Not sure if it helps but specs:
13900K - not overclocked
RTX4090
64GB RAM 6400mhz XMP

nor games nor gaming related apps like steam or Galaxy should be installed in system folders. Strickly use
non-c drive paths
x/Games/Game-name-123/
x/Games/Steam/(/SteamApps/common/)
x/Games/SteamApps/common
x/Games/GOG-Galaxy/(games/)
x/Downloads/GOG/
x/Games/GOG/.

Disable entirely the Winows DEP pseudo-security service. Google it bcedit nx off for exact instructions.

It is Windows pseudo-security services prevent wrapper dll to work or wont allow to read-write wrapper's ini config file. Nothing else. First off cause of incorrect intallpath.

Add /Games/ entire folder to Win Defender exception. If not want bother yourself with Run as admin - which needed time to time and for fist run for games - set gaming client executable run as admin in exe file properties.
Do same for games exes if you run them directly/from desktop. Use Galaxy client Library started as admin to launch games in admin mode automatically.

In any way start DXCFG wrapper config only as Run as Admin.

KainGL by Verok is safe by itself, but official dlinks are dead.
GOG version same as previously community versons slowdown the game even more han it was. KainGL make it work at 60 FPS.
