It seems that you're using an outdated browser. Some things may not work as they should (or don't work at all).
We suggest you upgrade newer and better browser like: Chrome, Firefox, Internet Explorer or Opera

First tutorial needs in first step to scroll with mouse wheel.

Even if I use the touchpad (software) scroll function, the trackball scroll hotkey or the zoom keys - it doesn't go on.

It seems not to be possible to skip this step.

I don't want to buy a "normal" mouse only to get on.

Crazy bug...

For this step, normal mouse users have to click IN and hold the scroll wheel (like a button) and then drag the mouse around to scroll. Also, for rotating the grid, you hold down the right-mouse button while dragging the mouse left or right.

Will this help in finding equivalent bindings? I was initially confused myself as it appears that the devs (Jose Sanchez et al.) changed the controls just before release from normal bindings to semi-intuitive (depending on player preferences) ones. Then again, after launching and testing the controls to make sure that I knew what I was talking about, they actually DO feel better than the slow bindings KBM users like I were using before.

Anyway, hope this helps you find a way.

EDIT: clarifying first tip.

Holding the scroll wheel and dragging works with a normal mouse (which I've got now for testing this issue).
But there is still no way to convince the game to accept the trackball or touchpad scroll function (doesn't matter which combination of trackball actions).

It would be better if the game would accept the keyboard keybindings [Z] [X] for zooming during the first tutorial.
It's the usual workaround for all games I know asking the user to move the scroll wheel.
