they have guns on the back so when they go to shoot a tank there top with all the guns starts spinning in circles while it gets shot doing NOTHING. Also i find with american and soviet tanks if you enable shooting and driving they start driving around a target and not shooting while the target shoots you. uselss

The German panzers have (as they did in real life) obscene amounts of frontal armor that early-theatre US, UK, and Soviet tanks couldn't hope to penetrate. Your tanks are "driving around getting shot" because their Penetration Value can't beat the opposing tank's Armour value, so your tankers are trying to move to get a shot on the side or rear, where the armor is thinner. (Again, as tank crews did in real-life).

But on the first point, you're right -- multiple turrets on tanks seem to make the early 1930s-era Soviet tanks act possessed. ;)
The AI in this first game can be quite dumb / or obidient ( depending on what you want it to do ) - If you issue a move order instead of an Attack move order your units will just steam to the location with out stopping to attack - The point of this I guess is those moments when you need to move your tanks and can't risk or afford for them to stop to fight - especially in dangerous areas or when they have low ammo.

As it was in real history many of the early tanks lacked the capability to fire accurately on the move - so your best bet is to issue the Attack move order or when you encounter the enemy hitting the hotkey for stop - they should then engage any enemies. It was common in many tank battles for tanks to stop to shoot - especially on the eastern front.

Also make sure you ave installed the ailogic.dll from the Stalingrad spinoff game - this may go some way to improving the AI aiming and LOS.

This is the link from the other post for the ailogic - just replace the existing ailogic.dll in the main blitzkrieg folder
