Hi,

I've just joined GoG to play my old time favorite Blitzkrieg. The game crashes to desktop when it loads a battle. Intro, Main Menu an Submenus work fine.

System: Windows 7 Home Premium 64 bit, Intel i7-2600 processor, NVidia Geforce GT 545 card. All drivers are up to date.

I've modified the launcher shortcut with the "affinity 1"-setting, fiddled with different compatibility modes - no luck.

Any ideas?

I too am getting crashes on trying to launch a mission. Intro movie, main menu, options, etc. work fine.

I tried setting the game to run on a single core, various compatibility modes, various resolutions, no luck.

Specs:
Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit (fully updated as of this post)
Intel Core i7 4770
16GB DDR3 RAM
Nvidia GeForce GTX 770 (353.06 drivers)
Blitzkrieg Anthology installed on 2TB 7200RPM HDD

EDIT: also tried rebooting my PC, forcing V-sync on, V-sync - half-refresh rate (120Hz monitor) and V-sync off.

I've read that crashes are more frequent on the Impossible difficulty level. Is it what tou've been trying?

Unlike two posters here, I have ATI card and game works smoothly most of the time (excluding few unexplainable CTDs). Another PC where I tried BK1, is older, but have NVidia card (8600 GT, I think), game works normally there too. If problem is permanent, I'm afraid I can't help.

Nope - difficulty is on normal, and I can't even launch the tutorial levels :(

Supposedly the game generally has issues with dualcore architecture, so I tried an existing fix - to no avail.
Basically tried everything getting the game running, GOG should put a warning on it that it's a bitch to run on a lot of Win7 systems.

My system is a Win7 64Bit
Intel core2duo E4700 2.8ghz
Nvidia Geforce 9800GT

Anyway, the game runs alright on my EEEpc 1000h, so there´s that.

Also I liked Sudden Strike better anyways..
