So this was the first gog game I ever bought. I love BlazBlue and heard some unpleasant stuff about the PC ports but was happy to hear it was mainly about online issues. So when this went on sale for 2.50 I bought just to test out how it would handle.Lack of online was a thing but I didn't really care at that point. Now, the main issue I heard of was that it would have terrible fps and skipping which could be resolved by restarting your computer. 30 fps was a another issue I kept hearing about, but at this point I wish I was getting 30 fps.

Well, I have terrible unplayable skipping, hanging, etc where I can't even press anything. Restarted laptop, still present. Forced V-sync off with nvidia control panel like suggested and it still doesn't work properly. Tried various compatibility modes, still nothing. Disabled/enabled SLI, nope. Finally I reinstalled but obviously that had no effect. Later, I learned lots of people managed to resolve the issue in Win7/8 laptops by adding the game to the Windows DEP, which I did and it had no effect either. All the forum threads regarding these problems were resolved by either the restart, or by verifying the integrity of the game cache like a regular steam game, which I can't because I have this via gog and not steam.

Help.

Specs:
Lenovo y510p
12gb RAM
Intel i7-4700MQ 2.4GHz quad
GT 750M SLI
Win 8.1

I would go into the Options and turn off the Anti-Aliasing in the display settings. Doing this boosted the performance considerably on my laptop.

Sigh, no effect. Took like 5 miuntes to actually change the AA because of all the hanging lol.

That is bad... Is this a machine with Optimus? If it is, try forcing the game to launch on the NVIDIA card.

Searched it up online. There's sadly no Optimus support for the y510p.

Strange. I'd contact support and see what they have to say. If they can't get it working, they can at least give you a refund.

I'm not exactly sure what happened, but I opened the game up just now 2 days later for one final check before deletion....and it works now. I don't understand how but if it works I have no complaints. Thx for helping me through this rough time in my gaming life lmao. :D
