I'm a little bit disapointed because I can't play this game with neither one of my gamepad nor the other...

I know someone (zaine-h) has already mentionned some program to help resolve this problem but I find this option not very friendly or easy to use...

I tried to go to the developper website to try finding some new about any update but I founded nothing valuable.

It woud have been better if GOG clearly mentionned that this game was only natively compatible with Xbox controller....

I know there is money guarantee nevertheless this game sounds to be a good one so I prefer to keep it...maybe one day I'll try the program to map the command on my gamepad.

Hope those with Xbox gamepad enjoy the game^^.

I always though It was regretable that microsoft made "deal" with developper to include advanced support for their own controller, because at last, it lead to have lesser support for other "generic" hardware.....

unfortunately, xinput controllers (Xbox) really have become the controller standard. There are tons of games that simply don't support anything other than them. I'm not sure what it is about them that has made them so attractive to developers, but this is a very common scenario these days.

This isn't some trend, or something that is "happening", it has happened. If a mapping program isn't something you want to fiddle with my advice would be to just embrace the change and get 360 standards controller. The down side for fighters is the official 360 d-pad isn't all that wonderful.

I understand your situation well. For some games "Xbox controller exclusive", I gave up and use a small app. I advice you to look at the small app x360ce : https://code.google.com/p/x360ce/
It's really easy to use, and convenient.
Into one folder, you configure the app with your gamepad (it's the "hard" part, and it's here that your gamepad must be recognized well, and that you must configure it well). But after that, when a videogame is "mainly Xbox controller compatible", well, you copy/past the files of your configuration ("x360ce.exe", "x360ce.ini", "xinput1_3.dll") into the game folder (in general, the folder where the game .exe is). When you launch the game, the app should launch automatically with it (and doing a little "ting" sound confirming this) and now your gamepad is like a Xbox 360 controller for the game.

I'm using it a lot for games which only recognize Xbox 360 controllers. In general, it's working perfectly (but sometimes, the app isn't compatible with the game, it may happen).

But it's sad that wider gamepad support is more and more often "forgotten" (by the way, a big thanks to all people who develop appplications like x360ce : thanks to them, I can a lot more easily play with my good old (and loved) PS2 pad on my computer even with "only xbox 360 pad friendly" games).
